Susi Sánchez and Guillermo Montesinos will be the honored artists of the 11th edition of MICE València

The actress, from Xirivella, and the actor, from Castelló de la Plana, will receive their well-deserved gift from the Festival, thus rewarding the talent and experience of these two Valencian artists. In addition, the deceased filmmaker Agustí Villaronga, awarded at the MICE 5 years ago, will be remembered.

Susi Sánchez, winner of two Goya awards, and Guillermo Montesinos, nominated for another Academy award, will be the artists honored in this 11th edition of the Mostra Internacional de Cinema Educatiu de València. The actress, born in the town of Xirivella, is experiencing one of the sweetest moments of her career, with the recent Goya for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Cinco lobitos’, as well as another “cabezón” 4 years ago for her leading role in ‘The Sunday Disease’. In addition, the actress is the protagonist of Agustí Villaronga’s latest film, ‘Loli Tormenta’, a director who will also be honored posthumously, remembering the filmmaker’s time at this festival, at the 6th edition of MICE in 2018, and screening his latest film within this year’s programming.

Another of the leading names in this edition will be Guillermo Montesinos, the actor nominated for the Goya for his supporting role in ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’ and one of the most relevant artists of the 80s and 90s, with roles of great recognition in films such as ‘Amanece, que no es poco’, ‘All to prison’ or ‘La vaquilla’, among many others. He has also been part of other major audiovisual productions, such as ‘Cuéntame’ or ‘L’Alqueria Blanca’.
