As every year, the festival gives the award for educational merit to a school that incorporates audiovisual and film in its educational program.
The International Educational Film Festival continues to value positively those tasks that are carried out in schools for the promotion of audiovisual inside schools. And in this edition, the CEIP Serreria, from Valencia, has been awarded with this prize, “for its task in the promotion and impulse of the audiovisual in the school, and to work with the students from a very young age to study and understand the visual image and cinematographic art”.

Sergio Través, director of the center, has received this morning, from the hands of the director of the festival, Josep Arbiol, this recognition. And he has done it in his neighborhood, in the Municipal Youth Center of Algirós. “We will continue to work the audiovisual in class, a tool that helps a lot to educate students in values” he commented in his speech, adding that “they will participate many more years to the MICE with works presented by their students”, as they have also done this year.
Both the Algirós Municipal Youth Center and the October CCC continue to offer activities for schools during this week. Hundreds of children, from primary to secondary, visit these venues to enjoy some of the works presented by schoolchildren during this tenth edition.
